Average home sale prices in 10 popular Boston Suburbs

The first half of 2023 is over, and the real estate market has been on quite a roller coaster ride compared to last year. I took a look at 10 popular Boston suburbs around Burlington, MA, and compared them to last year’s market to showcase how things have changed. These locations are great places to live because they have easy access to highways, public transportation, shopping centers, and a variety of restaurants.

This information will help any home buyer, who’s considering buying a home in any of these towns, to determine what to expect and consider with affordability. For home sellers in these towns, it’s important to understand how long it’s taking homes to sell, as well as how price gains have slowed down.

 

Even though we’re still seeing some wild bidding wars at certain price points, higher interest rates have reduced the number of buyers looking for a home and the market is definitely different. Some towns gained value, but some didn’t, and homes in all 10 towns are taking more time to sell compared to last year.
